Orange Cab Corporation Inc. is a Columbus Taxi-cab company founded in July of 2009 by a group of well experienced professionals cab-drivers with one thing in mind, which is to provide an excellent transportation service at a very affordable rate for residents and non-residents (visitors) of Central Ohio. In just two months Orange-Cab went from 25 to 65-cabs operating in our system. Currently we have over 13% of the cities total 500-taxicab limit, and we are still growing.

As you probably figured, we didn't just decide to start up a Columbus cab company randomly. Most of us worked at other taxi cab companies around Columbus. We learned the area pretty well and the keys to running a successful taxi company. As the times changed and the companies got bigger, we noticed things changing for the bad. We noticed not only are the cab drivers not getting what they should be getting, the customers that were along for the ride were getting ripped off. We talked amongst a couple people and thought about creating our own cab company. Before we knew it, we already had things rolling in progress. We left our companies and teamed together to make Orange Cab Columbus. Now this is where we had the chance to make just another Columbus taxi cab company or to stand out from the crowd and make something new and original. We decided that the company needed to be ran by the the drivers, that way the company stays well grounded and remembers the roots that it came from. We embraced the american way by having 3 main positions that helped run Orange Cab Columbus. Each position is chosen by an election by their fellow drivers. Each elected person can serve for as many terms as they would like. The difference here is when they serve a term (one year) they have to step down from the position and serve one term out of the position. This not only allows for fresh ideas, but it also allows the person that was elected to stand away from the big picture and see how he or she affected the company. After they have served one term out of the position, they are then eligible to be elected again for that same position or another one.

Our main areas of travel are Port Columbus International Airport (CMH) and the downtown area of Columbus, Ohio. We do occasionally taxi around the outer cities of Columbus, Ohio such as Westerville, Gahanna, Reynoldsburg, Grove City, Hilliard, Worthington, Dublin, Groveport, Bexley, Upper Arlington and many other areas.
